Abstract :
Rural entrepreneurship is known as a tool for the development of rural areas because it is related to the creation of new jobs and the improvement of economic conditions in villages. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the challenges and obstacles faced by entrepreneurs in the border villages of Zabul city. The research method of this research is a survey using a questionnaire. The area investigated in this research was determined using ArcGIS software and by determining the borders of Iran and Afghanistan, 111 villages located in six villages were identified in this area. Also, according to Cochran's formula, 347 people were selected as a sample through random cluster sampling. Cronbach's alpha test was used to measure the reliability of the questionnaire, and face and construct validity were used to measure the validity of the questionnaire, and the data were analyzed with the help of SPSS and Amos Graphics software. The results of the research show that factors such as economic, educational, infrastructural and policy challenges have an effect on the entrepreneurship process. The greatest role and influence in this field is related to economic indicators with a standardized regression weight equal to (0.213) at a significance level of 0.003. Therefore, the role of economic obstacles such as high interest of bank facilities, high cost of production, insufficient personal capital, low value of national currency and smuggling is undeniable and has a tremendous impact on the lack of entrepreneurship development
