Abstract :
The present study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Home and Family Memories Scale among university students. The statistical population included all students at University of Mohaghegh Ardabili enrolled during the 2023-2024 academic year. A sample of 268 students (95 males and 173 females) was selected using a convenience sampling method. Data collection instruments included the Home and Family Memories Scale (Schulen et al., 2022), the Psychological Flexibility Scale (Cho, Song, & Yang, 2023), and the Loneliness Stigma Scale (Fan, Shi, Yang, Sun, & Chen, 2024). To assess the reliability of the scale, internal consistency methods were employed, and to examine its validity, subscale correlations and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used. The results indicated Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.82 for Worthiness, 0.83 for Autonomy, 0.83 for Support, 0.77 for Well-being, 0.79 for Security, and 0.81 for Growth. The CFA fit indices demonstrated that the scale had a good fit (CFI = 0.93, NFI = 0.90, RMSEA = 0.073). Consequently, it can be concluded that this scale is a suitable tool for measuring childhood memories in the context of home and family environments.
