Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to determine the Effectiveness of Teaching Acceptance and Commitment on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety of Students. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population in this research included all female students aged 14 to 16 years of Devati schools in Tabriz city in the academic year 1401-1402. The statistical sample consisted of 30 female students with obsessive-compulsive and generalized anxiety symptoms who were introduced by the school counselor and were selected by non-random sampling method and randomly placed in two experimental and control groups. Both groups were tested in the pre-test and post-test stages with Yale Brown's obsessive-compulsive questionnaire (1986), (CY-BOCS) and the short-form scale of generalized anxiety disorder by Spitz et al. (2006), (GAD-7). were evaluated. The experimental group received the acceptance and commitment training program for 10 sessions of 90 minutes, one day a week. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance. The significance level was considered 0/05 in all tests. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in both obsessive-compulsive and pervasive anxiety variables. According to the results obtained in this research, teaching acceptance and commitment can greatly reduce the problems of obsession and anxiety of students.
